We have been committed to a sustainable approach for the last two years. Thanks to our efforts, we have obtained the label "Valeur Parc Naturel Régional" in 2022.

This label represents our commitment to a sustainable and gentle development of our area. We comply with demanding environmental, social and economic specifications and we are committed to a process of continuous improvement. We thus participate in the preservation of the Regional Natural Park of the Alpilles to allow you to discover all that this area has to offer!

Choosing a product, accommodation or a tourist service labeled "Valeurs Parc" means favoring local professionals involved in the sustainable development of their territory. It is also the assurance of being welcomed by professionals who know the Alpilles Regional Natural Park well..

Hotel Belesso also obtained in the beginning of 2022, a financial aid, "le Fond de Tourisme Durable" by Ademe, which constituted a considerable push forward in our ecological approach.

This aid has allowed us to replace old machines such as washing machines and the dish washer of the kitchen for by machines with reduced water and energy consumption. We have also replaced old fridges and freezers with newer models using eco-friendly gas.

We also want to reduce disposable articles as well as plastic packaging. Refillable soap and shampoo/shower gel dispensers have been installed in the bathrooms of our hotel rooms replacing the small disposable toiletries.

We now purchase soap and shampoo/shower gel from Rampal Latour, an historic soap maker in Salon-de-Provence who, in addition to the original Marseille soap, also propose a wide range of cosmetic products. These products are also available for sale at our shop at the reception.

Recycling cardboard, paper, glass, plastic and metal

Using hard plastic reusable, washable cups and glasses to be used around the pool, instead of disposable plastic or cardboard mugs and glasses. In the rooms, coffee/tea cups and toothbrush glasses are washable and reusable.

Filtered flat and sparkling water has been offered in the hotel rooms as well as in the restaurant for the last two years thanks to the filtering system Ogapur. The water is served in washable and reusable glass bottles to replace plastic bottles, at the same time helping to reduce transportation of purchased bottles, whether glass or plastic.

The use of cardboard or starch straws and bamboo stirrers instead of those in plastic.

The use of local products and home made products at breakfast (honey, jam, cured meats, compote, cake etc.)

The Michelin Guide has awarded our chef with aMichelin Plate in 2021. We use a large number of local producers for fresh produce all through the season (fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat of all kinds), as well as other products such as beer and wine, olive oïl etc.

We encourage our customers to help us in this endeavour.

A poster in the hotel rooms encourages our customers to save on water and electricity, to use their towels for more than one day and to reduce plastic packaging.
